Advertisement
- Choose a product to advertise
- Determine what your USP (Unique Selling Point) is
- Draw a set of four different thumbnails for your ad based on your USP & Product
- Make a rough of the best one
- Take a picture of your product
- Make a cutout of the product
- Vector the logo for your company/product
- Create a letter size document with .5" of bleed
- Add the cutout, logo, text and any other page elements
- Export the file as a PDF & upload the image w/thumb, rough to Schoology
Sublimation
- Layout a document to the size of your product but with a .25” bleed
- Create graphics & Design
- Test print the design on the 419 printer
- Reflect the design & save it to Creative Cloud
- Log into the desktop & print to Sawgrass at low speed
- Watch the video for your product and record time, temp & other details
- Setup up the print on the product with heat tape
- Press the Design
- Save as an Ai file and upload to Schoology
- Place thumbnails, rough, comp & product into din

Burn
- Open an image in which a spot is too light
- Use the Burn Tool to darken the area
- Save & upload the before & after version to Schoology
Dodge
- Open an image in which a spot is too dark
- Use the Dodge Tool to lighten the area
- Save & upload the before & after version to Schoology
Global Levels
- Open an image in which the entire image is a bit dark or light
- Use a levels adjustment to fix the light or darkness
- Save & upload the before & after version to Schoology
Global Hue & Saturation
- Open an image in which the entire image is a bit dull
- Use a Hue & Saturation layer to boost the color
- Save & upload the before & after version to Schoology
Lens Flare Background
- Follow the steps on the handout to make a flare brush
- Make a new document 11” x 17” & 300 ppi
- Use the brush to make the design
- Upload the document as a PSD to Schoology
Cropping
- Open one of your photos in Photoshop
- Choose the crop tool & set it to a 3:1 aspect ratio, position & commit
- Save as a PNG, upload the PNG to Schoology
Film Strip Collage
- Choose 6 photos for the film strip, one for the background photo
- Crop each of the strip photo so they are are all the same aspect ratio
- Crop the background photo to 8 x 10
- Build the photo strip in Bridge
- Add the strip to the background photo
- Create the film
- Make the film wave
- Save as a PNG & PSD
- Upload the PNG to Schoology
