Hello there everyone, hope you're having a fantastic Thursday. The week is flying by isn't it? Here we are and it's Thursday already! Today we'll continue along with our touch ups and work on probably the most fun touch up of all. I really try to hold this one off because it's so easy to play with the tool and get lost in it. Today I'd like to introduce the Liquify Filter. This essentially makes the photo water that is able to be pulled and pushed around like any liquid. This tool essentially allows you to change the proportions of things. In my video you will see me using the Liquify Filter to make a nose smaller and on another, make muscles larger. The goal is to make the proportions more attractive but you can have fun with it and really play God with your subject. As you do so, remember that this is the kind of things that is done in professional photo shoots quite often... but is it ethical? How would your subject feel about what you are doing to them? Don't forget to turn in a before and after version of the portrait.
If you have completed this and all of the other touch ups, you can get started on the final one; Sharpening. This one is tough and one wrong move can cause you to have to start over. Please take your time and give it a try. If the embedded PowerPoint here doesn't seem to make sense, please let me know and I'll create a video to explain the whole process. If I don't here anything though, I'll assume that all is well and you don't need a video to help you complete the process. I don't mind making a tutorial, just don't want to waste my time if it's not needed! Hope you have a great day today!
