Good morning everyone, hope you're having a great day. Today I would like you to take a break from the Screen Print project. I want to introduce a new unit, type. Sure, it's not the most fun thing to talk about... it's just letters, but there is some important stuff that you probably don't know about. The substitute should have an orange packet to give you. While it is pretty think, most of it is just examples, so don't panic. The first video below is for the video lesson on type, watch it and take notes in the packet. The second link explains the first assignment for the unit which is also describe on the back of the packet. Please note that the packet says one thing for the number of text examples that you need while the site says another. You actually only need 1 text and 9 novelty. It's tough to find text so I simplified it for you. That's it for today, hope you have a great day!

Period 3
Hello there everyone. Yesterday I had a new lesson for you, Principles of Design. Today I would like you to use those concepts to critique an add that you find. Ideally, find an ad in a magazine that you think is effective. Effective because you are drawn to it, not because you find the man or woman in the ad sexy! If you would rather, you can find one from the web but some small web ads will give you little to talk about. Take a look at the video in the link below. Using your notes and my example video I would like you to do your own critique. You can take a picture of the ad or scan it with the scanner and computers along the wall where the storage room is. Then you can make a recording like I did on the link below. I have more info on this in the links at the side to explain scanning, cropping and even straightening the ad if you scan or shoot it and it's crooked. I would still make screen printing the priority as it's due tomorrow but you do have this new critique to do too. As always, let me know if you have any questions!

Good afternoon photographers. Hope all is well for you today. I have a simple day for you today. I have a link below for a lesson on shooting modes. Watch the video and it'll explain what all of those icons on the mode dial mean. Once your done with the video you can continue to work on your folded card. Hopefully you have taken the two photos that you will need to make the design in Photoshop because without them you can't make the front!
