Hello there photographers. Hope your day is going well. Today I have two new photo touch ups for you: Smart Blur and Smart Cast. So I told you earlier in the class that Photoshop is known as a destructive editing program because after 30 times undoing your work the change is permanent. When, Photoshop's answer to that is smart layers. With smart layers you can remove the layer with the alteration on it, re-edit the alteration or just temporarily hide it. Today's project are a little more difficult than yesterday's, but they aren't really hard.
First, there is Smart Cast. In this assignment I would like you to tan someone. Now when you tan someone, it only works if only the skin becomes tan. So after you add a color cast to the photo, erase the color everywhere accept the skin. Eyes, clothes, background, etc... erase it all but the skin. Don't forget to save a before version before you start and then save the after version separately so I can see the difference.
Then the other smart object assignment is to blur someone's skin enough to make their skin look smooth and soft. Again it should be just the skin. Also don't forget to save a before and after version to turn in on Schoology. Again, if you have any questions, please email me. Hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!
