5. Objectives to accomplish today:
Color for Emphasis
- Find a photo
- Make a selection of the subject
- Change the selection to whatever should be monochrome
- Desaturate the color on that part of the photo
- Save the file as a PNG
- Upload the file to Schoology
Logo
- Choose a name or image to base your logo on
- Draw 4 thumbnails around that idea
- Choose the best thumbnail and develop it into a rough
- Color the rough with colored pencils
- Scan the logo with Ps & end computer
- Create an Ai file, place scan, lock layer
- Create new layer and vector each piece on it
- Color the image
- Save the image an Ai file
- Export the image as a PNG (File>Export)
Practice Vector
- Find a photo
- Save the Photo to U: Drive
- Open Ai
- Create a new file
- Place the photo into the doc
- Create a new layer and lock the first
- Change the fill to none, stroke to bright green
- Vector the inner ear and color it
- Draw the outline of the lion head as a complete shape & color it
- Make the outer oval with cutout as a complete shape & color it
- Rescale the image & save it
- Upload the file to Schoology

2. Objectives to accomplish today:
Halftone Screen
- Find an image to use as a halftone screen
- Make a selection of just the subject
- Add it to a new document with transparent background, save as PNG
- Experiment with different levels of exposure (Image>Adj)
- Save each level of exposure as a different number
- In Ai, put all six together in one file with a corresponding number
- Send the file to me as an attachment
- Degrease the screen
- Dry & coat the screen with emulsion
- Expose the screen using the proof sheet of exposures
- Washout & dry the screen
- Blockout the screen
- Print on paper as a test
- Clean screen and reclaim fabric
- Degrease the screen
- Coat the screen
- Cut rubilith
- Send full size positive to me as an attachment
- Expose screen
- Washout & dry the screen
- Patch pinholes
- Blockout the screen
- Cut transfer sheets one inch bigger than the print size
- Pre shrink sheets
- Print the last color first
- Print the rubilith color
- Heat press the image onto a shirt
- Turn in the prints to the bin on my desk
