Good morning everyone! The last day of the school year! Always a bitter sweet day to me. I welcome a nice vacation, but I enjoy school and working with each of you. I really do love teaching, I love technology and I love getting to know my students. I wish we could have had class face to face and had a chance to get to know each other better. I also feel really bad that I couldn't do a deep dive into Photoshop with you. I know this wasn't the way that you wanted to take the class and it certainly wasn't the way the I wanted to teach it! I appreciate all of you for how well you have rolled with this and made the most of a bad situation. I hope that I was able to teach you some new things about cameras and editing anyway though! If you are really into photography, Miss Brown and I run a photography club. There we do local and state contests, geek out over cameras and take lots of pictures. If that interests you, see me in the fall and we'll get you some details! I do also have a second level of the course where we get more into the deeper things you can do with the camera and Photoshop. If you're into photography, maybe they might appeal to you. If not, all good too! I'm glad to have had you in class either way.
Before we close out the class, don't forget to turn in any work that you have completed! I will be grading any remaining assignments and then tomorrow finalizing grades so get your work in today before you shutdown for the year. I hope you all have a fantastic summer and hopefully, we have the opportunity to meet face to face in the fall! Take care everyone!
Period 4
Hello and happy last day of school to you all! It's kind of surreal isn't it? What a crazy ride we have had to get to this point. I am truly sorry that this is how we had to have class. I really really miss chatting with all of you, working with you to create some amazing work and teaching you some cool new tricks. I knew I missed school but helping at graduation on Sunday and seeing some of our Seniors for the last time reminded me how much I miss being around my students! I'm grateful to have had such an awesome group of people such as you and saddened that we couldn't have more fun together, much less do a deeper dive into Photoshop and cameras. You know I love to geek out of tech and create awesome new things and I feel awful that we couldn't do more than we did. I know that this wasn't what you signed up for, and certainly not how I wanted to teach it, but thank you for making the most of it with me. Thanks for being so flexible and understanding! If you really dig photography, and can't get enough of it, Miss Brown and I run a photography club. There we do local and state contests, geek out over cameras and take lots of pictures. If that interests you, see me in the fall and we'll get you some details! Anyway, it has been a pleasure to have all of you in class again. Even though it's not what you signed up for, I hope you feel like you learned at least a little more and created some great new pics!
Don't forget to turn in any remaining work that you have not yet uploaded. I will be grading any remaining assignments and then tomorrow finalizing grades so get your work in today before you shutdown for the year. I hope you all have a fantastic summer, are able to have some fun and hopefully we can see each other again in the fall in person! Take care and enjoy some time off!

Good afternoon everyone! The last day of the school year! Always a bitter sweet day to me. I welcome a nice vacation, but I enjoy school and working with each of you. I really do love teaching, I love technology and I love getting to know my students. I wish we could have had class face to face and had a chance to get to know each other better. I also feel really bad that I couldn't do a deep dive into the printing and output side of the class. Typically we would learn to screen print (the way that most t-shirts are made) make notepads, and vinyl decals of your designs. However, since we couldn't go into the building, you guys missed out on this. I'm very sorry that I couldn't make this happen. One of the best parts of Graphics, to me at least, is starting with an idea in your head and seeing it through to the end when you have a physical product to show for it. That's what made me fall in love with Graphics as a Freshman in High School. I'm sorry that you missed out on this opportunity. You did get to do more designing though since we couldn't print our work though. If you did like the course and want to get more into this kind of work, I have a bunch more levels of graphics where we make t-shirts, water bottles, coasters, 3d print, make vinyls and much more. If not, I'm glad that I had the chance to teach you some cool things and if nothing else, you know what you don't want to do for a living!
