Period 1
Good morning! Hope your having a great day so far. Today what I would like you to do is create a video about yourself. Before you get stressed out... this isn't a high production movie trailer here! All I would like you to do is create a short video (at least a minute in length) with your Chromebooks camera and upload it to Schoology. As much as I hate to be the teacher who starts the course with some kind of cheesy game or something to help everyone get to know each other, I feel like now more than ever we could use a little socializing. So what should you do in the video?  Answer theses questions:
          - Who are you and what grade are you in?
          - Tell us something something you like to watch, listen to, read or play and why you like it.
          - If you could be someone famous who would it be and why?
          - Tell us one thing that your proud of yourself for achieving
Please don't stress out about quality in the video! If you stumble verbally... no worries! If your Mom walks into the picture... all good! If your baby brother is crying in the distance, it's cool as long as we can clearly hear you. Just be you, in your environment!

Before you make your video, you want to plan out what you're going to say. Just down an few notes, bullet points about what you are going to tell me. This is good in case you freeze up or get to rambling and forget what it is that you want to say. I do this for all of my videos so that I make sure I hit all the key points of an assignment. You don't see it though because I have it up on the screen while I'm talking!

Once you've prepared what it is that you want to say, it's time to bust out the Chromebook and record. In case you aren't sure how to make your recording I have created a video with my Chromebook to explain how to go about it. If you would like an example video, you can check my own getting to know you video on the post on Schoology. Check it out here and then you can make your recording. By the way, I got a little long winded at 2 and a half minutes... you only need a minute!

Finally, once it's recorded, you can turn it in. This was described at the end of the recording video. Please make and post your recording by 11:59pm Tuesday.

By the way, if you still didn't do yesterday's assignment please go back and do it today so you can get the 5 points and I know your getting my communications! Have a great day and let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

2.  Video: How to Record a Video

Period 4
Hello there all. Hope your having a good Tuesday afternoon. Today I would like you to start to get into the photography mindset. Before we dive into anything too heavy, we are going to revisit composition. I would like you to do a little research. You can look back at my PowerPoint from last class on composition, you can read this article from PetaPixel, maybe this article or you could research on your own. It makes no difference to me! I just want you to reflect back on composition and, as a more experienced photographer now, decide what your 8 best tips are for new photographers. What do you think makes the biggest difference, the coolest photos. Choose 8 tips. Jot down some notes on how to use them and then share your list with me on Schoology. Since this will require a bot of research, thought and planning, you don't have to turn these in until the Wednesday night. I don't need your notes, just your 8 tips.

If you still haven't done yesterday's assignment, please go back and complete that so I can give you credit for it! Please stay safe and let me know if you have any questions!

What are we learning today?
