Good morning everyone! Let me offer my most sincere apology that I am not with you today. I really hate to miss class, but I have been having some residual effects from Covid and have finally broken down and made a doctors appointment for it. I really don't feel well and need to get a little help. Enough about me, let's talk about class. Yesterday I introduced the concept of the calendar project, a big, point heavy project. Today I would like you to start to plan your project out. The calendar page has two videos that you can use for this. The page is linked just below. Please watch the first video. In it I review the project and provide additional examples, but more importantly there are directions for making thumbnails for your calendar in the latter half of the video. After watching the video, please sketch out a set of 4 thumbnails. After making four thumbnails, grab a sheet of 11" x 17" paper from beside the printer in the back of the room. With that paper and maybe a ruler (which you can find on the white tray on the counter by my desk) take a look at the second video on the page. It will describe drawing the rough. Please create your rough in the style that you would like. After the break we will create the calendar using this rough, so it is crucial that you make one! Regardless of where you are in the class, I would like you to work on planning for the calendar today. I can help you with it when I return, but with only 11 days left, give it your best effort today! Hope all goes well and that you have a fantastic day!

What are we learning today?
1. Discuss Making Thumbnails (first video)
2. Demo: Making a Rough (second video)

Good morning everyone! Let me offer my most sincere apology that I am not with you today. I really hate to miss class, but I have been having some residual effects from Covid and have finally broken down and made a doctors appointment for it. I really don't feel well and need to get a little help. But more importantly, what should you do today? Well, I would like you to continue working on your CD project. I have a link below for putting the elements of your project together in InDesign. If all of your assets (photos, graphics, etc.) have been created, add everything to the InDesign file that you created. Once you get them into the document you'll need to position and possibly resize them. The video will help you to make sense of how to do this. If you complete the CD project, fantastic! Take a look at the link on Unique Selling point. This will help you as you begin planning your advertisement. Hope you have a fantastic day!
