Logo
- Brainstorm ideas for your logo
- Draw four thumbnails for your idea
- Develop the best thumbnails into a rough
- Vector the design in Illustrator
- Color & finalize the logo design
- Add the logo to the vinyl decal template for the back
Practice Cutout
- Find a practice image to make a cutout along with Mr. Tate
- Turn the selection into a cutout, save it as a PNG & upload it to Schoology
Cutout
- Find a high res photo of your artist or band & save it
- Make a selection of the subject & turn it into a cutout
Vinyl Decal
- Create the template for the vinyl decal in Illustrator
- Apply the logo to the front template
- Include an attractive layout and the name of the album
- Place the cutout onto the back decal
- Add an attractive layout & quote from the band
- Save both decals & email them to me
- Apply the decals to each side
- Upload the two decals & jacket to Schoology
- Insert the vinyl w/decals to the jacket, tuck thumbnails & rough in, turn in to bin

Screen Printing
- Choose a theme for your screen print
- Draw four thumbnails based on that idea
- Develop the best thumbnail into a rough and color it
- Vector the rough
- Paste the vector into the comprehensive docunment & rescale and recolor it
- Email comp as an attachment to Tatej
- Obtain, label & Degrease a Screen
- Coat the screen
- Cut rubilith for the other two colors
- Expose the screen
- Wash out the screen with a cone spray of water
- Patch Pinholes
- Block out the screen
- Cut paper to print on
- Cut out the comprehensive, center it on cut paper, tape in place
- Print the first color
- Reblock the screen
- Print the second color
- Print the third color
- Reclaim the screen
- Mat the best print
- Paperclip thumb, rough, comp, 2 prints, matted & rubric

Antiqued Photo
- Download the frame & add the photo to it
- Add a glass overlay on top of the portrait
- Create a wallpaper
- Add the portrait to the wallpaper
- Apply a drop shadow to the frame
- Make a vignette to emulate a spotlight on the picture
- Save as a PNG & PSD, turn in PNG
Lens Blur
- Open an image with a large depth of field
- Use the handout to make a selection & slowly fade in the depth of field
- Save & upload the before & after version to Schoology
Folded Card
- Research card designs
- Draw four thumbnails for the inside of the card
- Layout the card in InDesign
- Take photos for the alphabet
- Crop and resize the photos accordingly
- Add type to the inside of the card
- Create artwork for the cover in Photoshop
- Place the Photoshop file into InDesign doc
- Export the card as a PDF
- Upload the PDF to Schoology
Calendar
- Change the month & dates to fit each month
- Crop, resize & place photos for the month pages
- Add any other touches to month pages
- Place in the cover design (possibly using the lens flare) on page 1
- Place the collage on page 14
- Export the calendar
- Make a proof sheet & print it
- Adjust colors, errors as seen on proof
- Export the calendar as a Print PDF
- Upload PDF to Schoology
- Turn in physical copy of thumbnails, rough, & proof to bin
