Good morning everyone. Happy Hump Day! Hope all is well in PA. I don't even want to say much about Florida for fear that it will sound like I'm rubbing it! All is well here though. So today, I would like you to keep working on your screen printing project. Below you will find a link for how to block out your screen. After you have exposed it, washed it out and patch pinholes, there are still areas that the ink can get through the screen other than where you want it to. Using the scrap paper beside the paper cutter and the two inch masking tape (which is in the gray shelving to the left of the outside door) you will need to block out those other areas of your screen. The first link will explain how to do it. The second video explains how to cut paper to print on for your screen print. It's nothing crazy, but it will explain what you need to do. Not a problem if you don't get both done, but I thought I'd introduce both today just in case you finish one and have nothing else to do. Keep in mind that you don't have to wait until your screen is blocked out to cut paper to print on. You can do this at any time! Hope you all have a great day!

Just like usual, start by brainstorming four thumbnails and then a rough of the one that you like best before you create it in Illustrator. So that's a new project for you to work on today. I also have a blue notes packet that I would like you to complete as you watch the video on the Principles of Design. Hello there photographers, hope your hump day is going well. I know that I gave you a lot of little assignments yesterday. They shouldn't be too tough to do though. I also assigned the Lens Flare Background project too. There is no due date for this one yet. It is part of the calendar project so you will have plenty of time to complete it. I thought I'd introduce it now though so that you can get started on it when you have time. Today I have the start of the folded card project for you to work on though. The second link below will walk you through setting up the document in InDesign. This is a new software, and one that we will spend a lot of time using in the calendar project so it's a good introduction for you. Use InDesign and the video to setup the document. Then tomorrow you can use the photos that I asked you to take to build the card cover in Photoshop. If you have any questions, let me know. Hope you all have a great day!
