What are we learning today?
1. Demo: Printing to Dye Sub
2. Objectives to Accomplish Today:
    Key Chain
     - Choose an idea for the key chain
     - Draw 4 thumbnails
     - Develop the best one into a rough
     - Vector the logo and design for the keychain
     - Add a gradient and mesh to the design
     - Reflect the design (Object>Transform>Reflect)
     - Save the deisgn to Drive, Cloud or USB Drive
     - Log into the desk top and Print the design to the SawGrass Printer
     - Watch the video on DyeTrans.com to prepare for transfer
     - Setup the heat press for pressure, time and temperature
     - Press the iKeychain
     - Blockout screen
    Fabric Screen Print
     - Choose an idea for the screen print
     - Vector the image
     - Scale the graphic to size (max 8”x 8”)
     - Change one color to black, other to white
     - Email me the file so I can create a positive
     - Degrease screen & coat the screen
     - Expose screen
     - Washout screen
     - Patch pinholes
     - Cut paper to print on
     - Blockout screen
     - Print the first color
     - Print the print accordingly
     - Re-block the screen
     - Print the second color
     - Print the print accordingly
     - Reclaim the screen
     - Place thumb, rough, comp & print in bin

What are we learning today?
1. Photo Day
2. Objectives to Accomplish Today:
   Website
     - View sample sites
     - Determine what things you like about the examples
     - Sketch a plan for a pages & site map (min of 5 pages)
     - Build the site with Weebly or Wix
     - Prepare photos for site
     - Publish the site and share link through schoology
   Creative Edges
     - Open a photo to add a weathered frame to
     - Follow the steps to apply the effect
     - Save & upload to Schoology
   Oil Painting
     - Choose one of your HDR photos to use
     - Open the photo in Ps
     - Follow the steps on the handout to make it a painting
     - Upload the final version to Schoology
   Night Photos
     - Read about best practices for night photos in the links on TechGeek
     - Choose how & what you would like to do for night photos
     - Take your photos using the techniques from the readings
     - Upload the photos to Schoology
     - Make a proof sheet, print, and tunr in the paper
   Shift Tilt
     - Take a few photos from an elevated perspective
     - Import the photos to the PC
     - Open the photo in Ps & make the photo look like a model
     - Save the final results & Upload to Schoology

What are we learning today?
1. Demo: Proofing the Calendar
2. Objectives to Accomplish Today:
    Collage
     - Open the calendar in InDesign
     - On page 14, draw a box the size of the collage you would like to make
     - Make a new document in Photoshop the same size as the box in InDesign
        - In the properties panel in InDesign there is a W & H
        - The W & H would be the W & H you will use for the new Photoshop Doc
       - Set the resolution to 300
       - Make the background contents transparent
     - Open each photo separately in Ps
     - Use the rectangular marquee tool to select the photo & then copy it
     - Paste it into the new Photoshop Document & rescale it (Ctrl T)
     - Repeat for the next photo, making sure they overlap
     - Set the erase to a soft edge, somewhat opaque percentage & erase the edges
     - Save the collage as a PSD
    Calendar
     - Change the month & dates to fit each month
     - Crop, resize & place photos for the month pages
     - Add any other touches to month pages
     - Place in the cover design (possibly using the lens flare) on page 1
     - Place the collage on page 14
     - Export the calendar
     - Make a proof sheet & print it
     - Adjust colors, errors as seen on proof
     - Export the calendar as a Print PDF
     - Upload PDF to Schoology
     - Turn in physical copy of thumbnails, rough, & proof to bin
    Lens Flare Background
     - Follow the steps on the handout to make a flare brush
     - Make a new document 11” x 17” & 300 ppi
     - Use the brush to make the design
     - Upload the document as a PSD to Schoology

1. Work Day Today
2. Objectives to Accomplish Today:
  Vinyl Jacket
     - Choose a band/artist and album
     - Brainstorm ideas for graphics & photos
     - Draw thumbnails for the cover & back
     - Layout the framework in Illustrator
     - Print the layout & draw rough into it
     - Vector image(s)
     - Take your photo of the product
         - Simple background & strong lighting
         - Try different angles & take extra shots
     - Compose your type in Illustrator
     - Add graphic(s) & photo to Illustrator file
     - Print & Trim the file
     - Score and glue the jacket together
     - Export the file as a Print PDF & upload it to Schoology
3. Cleanup
4. Review/What’s Next
